The Challenges

Linking the ERP and the App

  • The Problem: The existing ERP was the master record for all inventory. The new ordering app needed to constantly match the stock in real-time.
  • The Difficulty: Infutrix had to ensure that when a customer placed an order in the app, the inventory was updated immediately and without error. Mixing two major systems created a high risk of lost data or incorrect stock levels.

Building the Cheapest Price Calculator

  • The Problem: Finding alternatives with the same medical composition was straightforward.
  • The Difficulty: The system had to calculate the absolute cheapest option because pack sizes, pill counts, and volumes were never the same.
  • Example: Is a bottle of 100 pills at $5.00 cheaper than two boxes of 40 pills at $2.25 each?
  • The Goal: The ordering system had to perform this complex math consistently at scale, replacing a pharmacist's manual judgment with automated, error-free price optimization.

Centralized Sync Management:This layer manages the two-way sync between our database and the existing ERP, acting as a single source for customers, orders, inventory and pricing.

Decoupled Logic:This ensured the logic was configurable and easy to update, meaning IsoMeds can scale in the future without rebuilding the entire engine.

Solution Pillar 2: Autonomous Cost-Optimization Engine

We designed the recommendation engine as an independent, smart rules layer, integrating its intelligence across all customer platforms:

Precision Cost Calculation:It computes the true cost per unit quantity (per capsule/tablet/ml) for every valid alternative.

Ranked Alternatives:It applies business rules to surface the cheapest valid alternative, ranked by lowest per-unit cost and availability.

Solution Pillar 3: The Final Websites and Apps

This layered approach resulted in a complete, integrated digital stack.

Customer Platforms:Integrated Website and Mobile App optimized for long-term users, providing easy login, re-ordering, and access to the cost-optimized suggestions.

Operations Control:A central Admin Web Panel allowing the team to manage customers, monitor ERP sync status and control and tune recommendation rules where required.
